Citizen and Community Support

OGAP works with individuals and communities across the United States and Canada, providing support and resources to citizens facing oil and gas development on private and public lands.

Landowner Support
OGAP provides support to landowners, community groups and local governments dealing with impending or existing oil and gas development.  We provide workshops; one-on-one support; and resources, such as our landowner guide, landowner stories, and fact sheets to help educate citizens on issues related to oil and gas development.

Protecting Wild Places
Public lands are being leased for oil and gas development at an ever-increasing pace.  OGAP provides general information and support to citizens, and partners with organizations working on protecting public lands and wild places.

People's Oil and Gas Summit
Every year, OGAP holds a People's Oil and Gas Summit, bringing together affected people from across the United States and Canada.  At the Summit, citizens share experiences and strategies for minimizing the impacts that oil and gas development has on peoples' lives and on the environment.
